Whispers
A downloadable game
I received much feedback from my peers which were very helpful when it came to my concept document. I was able to see from a different perspective from others that I haven’t though about, which gave me different ideas that I was able to add to my game. My peers gave me ideas from their game which they thought I could interpret into my game and even though I do not have it in right now, I believe to add later on.
The way I cored loop my game for my prototype was by adding puzzles and pressure plates which makes the player have to dodge objects to move onto the next part of the level.
When developing my core loop, it helped me understand how I want to organize each room of the puzzle and how the pressure plates and puzzles are going to implemented for the player to figure out.
The tools that I used when creating this prototype was YouTube to get ideas of how I want to create my building for the player to walk in. I also used YouTube to try and find blueprints to add to my objects to make the trigger actions and puzzles work in the game. I finally used Unreal’s marketplace to get blueprints and packs of objects to add into my game.
The main issue that I am having with this prototype is the coding blueprint. I have been messing with the how each object is going to trigger each other. The way that I plan on resolving this is by asking others for help that have more experience in coding and also looking up more videos on YouTube to see what will work.
The player lands from the hole, to where he sees a pressure plate and presses it open the door.
The player sees a object, to where he has to carry it the object and put it on the pressure plate to open the door,
The player sees the object on the pressure plate, which they have to move the object off the pressure plate to open the door.
