A downloadable game
I received a lot of helpful information when I had my peers play my prototype. There were things that I saw the players do that they were able to move ahead of the game faster. I also thought about the collisions when reading the feedback because some object collisions were bigger and wider than what the object really was.
I have not pivoted from the idea and art that I want to portray. I know that I can finish the work and art of the game in the few weeks that we have left to work on. I have gotten most of the art down, but there are some things that I am still working on which is what I want the floor to be and to add building on the outside so the player cannot move outside the designated area.
The art that I have created, I believe that it contributes to the core experience of the game because I designed the building to be worn down and inside the building and outside, the walls are considered to have been worn down with also the objects inside the building to been left inside with also it being worn down.
The tools that that I used was all in Unreal and the Unreal marketplace. At first, I wanted to build a building in Maya and import it into unreal, but I was taking too long with it and struggling with it, so I decided to scrap the idea of it. I made a building in Unreal and then added the assets to make the building as real life as I could. Once I completed the building, I went to Unreal Marketplace and borrowed a free asset package to use in my game which had come very helpful for me so far.
At the moment the only thing that I was struggling so far was making a puzzle to where I can throw an object into a box to then trigger the object to make the gate go up to move onto the next part of the level. The way I am going to solve this is by looking at more videos and try and combine videos to get the result that I want. On the art aspect of the game, there has been no issues that I have faced so far.
This is the outside of the building that the player will try and figure how to enter the building and then solve the puzzles from there.
The player lands into the first puzzle and has to step on the pressure plate to open the gate to move onto the second puzzle.
The player has to crouch under the objects to get to the pressure plate to open the third puzzle.
